A land-only Cape Town estimate is useful only if you add the cost of getting there. Keep flights, airport transfers, accommodation and activities in separate lines so you can see the real total.
What is the starting budget?
Marumo’s current five-day Cape Town planning range is R9,500–R12,500 per person, land only. Flights are outside this estimate. Accommodation, transfers, meals and activities still need to be confirmed in an itemised quote.
Which departure airport should you choose?
Request flight options from your preferred airport to Cape Town International (CPT). For travellers in Gauteng, compare O.R. Tambo (JNB) and Lanseria (HLA) where suitable services exist. Travellers elsewhere should request options from their own airport. Availability and schedules must be checked for your dates.
A cheaper fare can cost more overall if it needs an expensive transfer, extra baggage or an additional night. Compare departure time, arrival time, baggage allowance and transport at both ends.
Calculate the complete cost
Your working total is the land quote plus return flights, baggage, transport to your departure airport, any excluded Cape Town transfers, meals, activities and personal spending. Avoid adding an item twice if it is already included.
Groups and room sharing
Share the exact number of adults and children, preferred room pairs and any single-room requests. A per-person sharing estimate does not establish a solo traveller’s price. Ask how the quote changes if one person withdraws.
Leave room in the itinerary
Choose the two or three experiences that matter most to your group. Ask which activities need advance reservations and which outdoor plans can move if weather disrupts them. A busy itinerary can add transport costs without giving you more useful time at each stop.
